Crafted from cozy printed cotton & spandex and lined with super soft poly-fleece, our Cottage Jackets combine the warmth and comfort of a cardigan with the style, versatility, and look of our Stardusters. The Messenger is our tribute to fearless conviction, and a celebration of those who dare to follow their hearts, no matter the odds! Featuring Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s iconic portrait of Joan of Arc— completed only days before his death — it masterfully depicts one of history’s most extraordinary figures. Born a humble peasant, Joan rose to lead the French army as a young woman inspired by divine visions and a profound sense of purpose. Her courage to challenge societal norms and her unwavering belief in her mission made her a symbol of strength, resilience, and grace.
The florals in our print, taken from centuries-old paintings, represent the enduring beauty of faith and perseverance, while the trim — featuring a hand-coloured drawing of stained-glass church windows — pays homage to the sacred spaces where Joan found solace. The wise fox, painted in 1810, evokes the divine guidance she credited for her remarkable feats.
As she has been for so many, Joan continues to be a deep source of inspiration to us here at Market of Stars, as artists and women. Her words, “I am not afraid, I was born to do this,” (written on her sleeve in this print) are an enduring message to live our lives with courage, determination, and love.
Cotton/spandex blend outer, lined in poly fleece. Machine wash gentle or handwash, gently reshape and lay flat to dry.
Cardigan measurements: length approximately 65cm, width (across back, underarm to underarm) approximately 74cm. Model is 5’5” for reference.

Hey folks -the bottom line-once we have your cash we keep it:) We do offer credit notes or exchange on all regular priced goods . Credit notes never expire.
Returns must be made within 12 days of purchase,unworn ,tags on . No returns Dec26 & 27th.

Web Orders-14 days from pick-up notice.
Shipping within Canada-21 days from delivery confirmation.
**Holiday Returns- Holiday purchases must be returned by Dec 10th for regular priced goods.
No returns Dec 26th & 27th.
Out of Country orders-we regret to say the customs duties and taxes process prevent us from accepting returns.
